The Drop Times: Inevitable Journeys
Sometime before, towards the end of May, I had written a newsletter titled, 'A Traveler's Mindset.' I concluded the same with these words:
"Life itself, in essence, is a journey. Nothing can help us better than to have a traveler's mindset."
Sometimes, the words we write down turn out to be prophetic in nature. While putting down those words, it didn't occur to me that I would be gearing up for a new journey after a month. Neither did I think I would be moving to a distant city that requires up to 32.15 hours of travel by train to join another job.
I will be joining the Quality Council of India as an Analyst from the third week of this month. In short, the words I wrote for the readers boomeranged on me. Now, it is me who needs a traveler's mindset.
When I joined The Drop Times at the end of March, it was the beginning of a steep learning curve for me. If Drupal comes with a steeper learning curve for developers, it poses a much steeper one for me, a journalist. Initially, what amused me the most was the spirit of community and freedom seen among Drupalers. Seeing a large group of brilliant humans coming together to grow and preserve open-source software was magnificent.
The DropTimes (TDT), too, is a wonderful organization. Its commitment to spreading the word about Drupal is praiseworthy. IMHO, Drupal deserves TheDropTimes as the world deserves Drupal. May you and I be lucky enough to find a friend who loves us like TDT loves Drupal!
The team and the leadership of TDT very well represent the values of the Drupal Community. TDT is Drupal, head to toe. I wish TheDropTimes and the entire Drupal community good luck. Wish me the same for my inevitable journey!
Now let us look at the important stories from the past week.
TDT published an interview with Shefali Shetty, the Director of Marketing at Specbee. Follow this link to read Shefali's conversation with Alethia Rose Braganza.

There is a correction to be made. The Editor's Pick newsletter was wrongly numbered for the past three weeks jumping a number forward. We found the anomaly and have corrected it. So this newsletter is Volume 1, Issue 24.
That's all from the past week. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Thomas Alias K,
